Here to help

Here are a few of the questions we get asked quite a bit. Hopefully you’ll find the answers useful, but if you have any questions not answered here then please get in touch.

We are happy to come over to your property and listen to what you have in mind. We can provide you a written estimate of cost and then leave it with you to have a think. There is no pressure from us. Once you have had a think and wish to progress things, we will then provide a more detailed quote that becomes a confirmed offer. This is all free to you until you agree the quote.

We are based in North Somerset. Our work takes us into South Gloucestershire, the whole of Bristol and south as far as Bridgewater.

We typically charge £65 an hour plus VAT for small jobs upto 3 hours. Anything over 1/2 day is typically worked out on a project rate which typically works out at a lower hourly rate.

There are a lot of things that influence the cost of a project. Size of the room, what state it is in, how much change you want to make. A lot of the equipment can vary in price a great deal too. It is a good idea to think about a budget figure before you get too far into the detail. We can then help you work towards that budget. Think about what you can afford in simple £5,000 increments is a good way to start.

We don’t offer a specific discount, but we do aim to make sure all our quotes are really competitive. We help our customers to think about the options to reduce the cost of work.

Our standard rate is £65 per hour plus VAT. If you have an emergency out of normal 8am to 5pm working week hours, then we would charge our standard rate x 2 for the first hour.

We can project manage key changes to your property as part of the project process. This typically involves removing or adapting a doorway, wall or window position for some of our bigger projects. We have qualified builders and electricians that work alongside us to get the job done.

Yes we do. We would provide you with a quote and all our company details ready for you to get pre approval.

Anything we take away is responsibly disposed of. We can remove all old materials from your property, even arrange a skip for you if that is needed. Alternatively we can leave it with you to remove rubbish if you are on a very tight budget.

We totally understand how it can feel to have our team coming in and out of your house. We try to minimise the amount of times we go in and out and will fully respect keeping doors shut to keep the heat in and children and pets safe too. All areas we walk on will be covered to protect your flooring.

We want you to be happy. The work we do can be disruptive and sometimes complicated. 99% of our work is delivered without any complaints whatsoever.  If you do have a complaint then this can typically be resolved by calm explanation of the problem to us and we should be able to take action to remedy the situation to mutual satisfaction. It is always a good idea to write an email to us if the issue hasn’t been resolved. This provides a clear history of the issue for future reference.

Sometimes we face delays in products being available at exactly the right time. This can result in extending the time taken to complete the project. Products found to be damaged on delivery may need to be replaced and lead times of up to four weeks can happen. On these occasions we ask that you to be reasonable as we are unlikely to have any means of speeding up the process.

We have had the rare experience of a complaint being made to achieve a discount on the agreed price of the project. If there is an outstanding balance due, we hope that a customer doesn’t invent unreasonable complaints in order to reduce the balance owed as this will lead to a breakdown in communication between us and the likelihood of legal expenses to recover the debt.
